RECORDING STUDIO TECHNICIAN
Throughout my college years, right through to the present day, I do casual work for Mr Steve Davis. He is the owner of Unit 5 Recording Studios in Mansfield. During my time working for Steve, I have looked after band rehearsals and recordings in the studios in Mansfield and operated small outside PA systems for various gigs and events including the Mansfield Half Marathon, which we are involved in every year.
FESTIVAL WORK
During the summer music festival seasons I have gained vital experiences of working on major outdoor festivals. I started out being utilised mainly as a stage hand, helping artists and bands, bringing on and off their backline systems. During this time I also worked as an audio assistant on the BBC Radio 1 stage at Reading Festival, micing up the backline and drum kits. I also operated Followspot on the Main Stage, covering artists such as Muse, Kaiser Chiefs and Franz Ferdinand. I have also carried out the installation and the operating of the lighting rigs and projection playback at such festivals as Download, Sonisphere, Creamfields, Slam Dunk and many more.....
